the virginia gold cup

Monday, May 7

We got all gussied up and went to the Virginia Gold Cup with a few friends over the weekend. The races were exciting, the food was delicious, the hats were much more fabulous than mine {I guess I just have a hard time with poufs on my head}, and the miniature bow-ties were charming, yet remained mostly hidden by the baby with the outstanding chins. But really ... forget the horses and the hats, the program booklet was the one capturing hearts for the afternoon. Riveting material! So says juicy lips.
P.S. I found my dress here

Gorgeous dress! Perfect for a sunny day on some lush grass :) Although online it looks like the under-slip thing is verrryyy short. Did you extend yours somehow to make it more decent?
