we went to the animal fair, the birds and the beasts were there

Wednesday, August 1

We went to the county fair with a few friends on Friday night.
Everett was fascinated by everything and amused by nothing. Especially the turtle whose crawl looked suspiciously familiar to his own. *side eye
And of course the food was to die for. And I mean die in the most literal way possible.
Hot mini donuts, chili dogs, funnel cakes, cheese fries, and my beloved corn dogs with mustard.
The chorus angels of the county fair food trucks sang hallelujah, and then we girls hiked up our britches and rode the fastest spinning thing we could find.

My kinda Friday night.

little ev is so stinkin cute in that outfit! and i cant believe he is mr serious all the time!! with two goofy, fun, giggling parents- where did his non-free spirit come from?!?! lol when my son was a baby he raised his eyebrows at everything. and his face was so fat that it would make a fat wrinkled heart on his forehead! ok, that sounded much weirder than it actually was!! hahaha

county fairs are the best. i've been exhibiting animals at mine for the last ten years :)

August 01, 2012 10:23 AM

Your photography is wonderful, Sydney! What a fun memory.

And so brave to ride the fastest spinning thing you could find; I'm a total wimp when it comes to carnival rides -- Mr. M had to talk me into the ferris wheel during our last visit. ;)
