to miss about summer

Wednesday, August 29

We have this park that we like to go to together first thing in the morning before it gets too hot out. We bring our favorite blanket and sprawl out with breakfast or something. Everett is always very careful to explore the grass with caution, going right up to the edge, plucking out a single blade and then tossing it behind him. It's a small part of our day, but one of my favorite times with him. And daggumit I'm sure going to miss it when it starts getting cooler.

I love that quilt!! Picnics with my mom are one of my favorite memories I had growing up with her. She's been gone 10 years and I'm grateful for those memorable times. Hope you're feeling better! :))

A wonderful start to the day!

Hopefully the nice weather will hold on a little longer so you can enjoy this time outside with E.

As always, the pictures are so sweet!

So cute that he stays on the blanket while playing with the grass. I don't blame him though, it can get quite itchy!

Your little guy has to be the cutest baby on the planet! My husband and I are pregnant with our first right now and I love all the motherly things you put on your blog. It makes me excited for all the adventures to come for my new little family.

Sydney,
Your baby is the absolute cutest. How can you resist those chubby cheeks?? Love your pants btw! Where'd you find them? It's so hard to find printed pants that I'm comfortable wearing!

Oh my, your son is seriously THE cutest! Those eyebrows & cheeks just kill me. I love your blog Sydney, and have been feverishly reading it from the beginning since I just stumbled upon it not long ago. You have the cutest little family, and impeccable style. I am a huge fan! Keep it up girly! xx

I'm sure the park will wait with open arms for you two to shuffle your feet through the fallen leaves when it's colder.

I can not stinking wait until my little boy starts doing this kind of stuff! Right now at 6 months, his best trick is rolling from one side of the room to another (he can't crawl yet) and it makes me laugh so hard I cry.
