four sentences before my forehead does something horrible to the keyboard

Thursday, August 9

For various reasons, sleep deprivation is successfully kicking my trash right now and everything that comes out of my brain is inevitably going to be word vomit. But I would still like to document that today was the day my son graduated from "worming" to "crawling". And today was the day I prepared dinner and Tyson burned it.
It just makes me really happy that I'm not the only one around here who sucks at the oven.

I've been following you for months now...today is the first day I felt like I needed to comment. You are beautiful, classy, and I love reading your posts. Sleep will come, in time, but these moments never again will...hang in there, Momma.

Luckily I have my husband who knows his stuff around the kitchen. Thank god, otherwise would have starved to death.

Yay for Everett! Boo for exhaustion, and isn't it always great when someone else burns the food? Makes me feel a little smug when it isn't me for a change ;) x

I love his little jeans! So cute!

I'm notorious for food that's burned on the outside and raw on the inside. A friend gave me the America's Test Kitchen cook book a few months ago and I haven't had a failure since. You should check it out!

I hope you are able to get some sleep soon!! Congratulations, Everett! :D Sorry you had burned dinner last night, though. ;)

Crawling is exciting news! Also...the oven gods like to burn our dinners just to see how we'll react. That's what take-out is for ;)

It's so wonderful to see them develop day by day. I remember having an urge to push them back down when they started pulling up. Sounds mean, but I was like, "Oh no! How did we get here this fast?!"
