Given the humidity and heat index this year, we didn't actually venture out of the house until about 7pm. Which I will say was the best thing to ever happen to our 4th of July. Some of us hung out in our pajamas, while others preferred only diapers, and we made German pancakes {that I was this close to ruining but DID NOT hallelujah!!}, took turns taking naps and ended up watching two whole shows without pressing pause once. Luxury at it's finest.
In the evening, we met up with a few friends at a local park to watch the fireworks, which {to my utter shock, considering it was about 84 hours past his bedtime} Everett sat quietly on my lap and watched with fascination while he chomped on his flag. It's like it's his favorite holiday or something.
Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July! God bless America, this country that we love!
