The other day when my room was nothing but a big pile of laundry that needed folding, and the magic of the all-powerful crunchy book was starting to fade, I popped Everett into the laundry basket to keep him contained and safe for a few minutes. It ended up being totally pointless though. I mean, just look at him. That's a face that says, "laundry baskets forever!" First of all, there's nothing else in the world that actually says that so it can't be taken lightly. And second of all, how are you supposed to fold clothes when there's a baby in the room pleading with you to make the laundry basket his purple chariot of greatness, specifically designed for victory laps around the bedroom and giving him the time of his life?
I'll tell ya, you don't.

The laundry is my youngest's favourite thing. If he's hurt himself or is fed up, I tell him we can go and do the laundry and he's in heaven! You should see him rolling around in it, taking clothes for a trip around the room, putting clothes in & out of the basket, wearing them (sort of, if a hosiery scarf counts!), and having a giant cuddle with a big armful. It's a great diversion, I hope it lasts for Everett.
His expressions in those first two pictures look just like his mama's!

We have hardwood in every room but our bedrooms...the halway and living room made for a nice track for the blue laundry basket racecar at our house! FUN TIMES! Laundry can wait!

I love this post :) I often get pictures of my nephew scooting around or climbing a laundry basket. I have seriously thought about buying him a bunch of laundry baskets because he looks so happy playing in them!
