being in a hotel room all by yourself is totally weird

Monday, June 25

I miss my little baby boy so much. Tyson and I skyped tonight and all we did was watch the videos he took of Ev during their day together. Oh I could just make you sick with the amount of pure gushing sap that went down on that call. Sick, I tell you! At the same time, I don't know if I could enjoy this large, white bed in this quiet room all to myself much more. I slept through the night last night.
It. was. MADNESS.

I feel like you when my guy leaves for summer work... when he comes to visit me its cloud nine and then after he leaves and the house is quite I go crazy. I miss his noises and his messes... haha. I think its cause we love those creatures!

I know what you mean! I left my guy behind for the week to visit my parents, and I miss him like crazy! But then, it's nice to not fight for the covers... haha. Enjoy LA!

June 26, 2012 1:23 AM

I felt the same way when I went away from home for a few days.. and all the time my mind was with my son... And during the night... I kept thinking that I slept to much...

Now when I look back I know it was a good thing to have a mini vacation. It makes you appreciate more every moment spent with the family.

Sometimes I relish travelling alone, but yeah, most of the time, it's pretty lame. Enjoy your trip, and you'll be back home soon enough.

The only way you can have those squealy 'i miss you like crazy' hugs is if somebody takes one for the team and goes away for a little bit. Enjoy sleeping all night like a starfish. xo

isn't it funny that on nights where you get woken up multiple times by your little one you would give anything to be alone in a room sleeping, but when your alone in a room sleeping you would give anything to be with your little one... even if it means being woken up. true motherhood right there. :)

June 26, 2012 10:33 AM

At least you got some much needed momma sleep!

My three things:

1. Silly but true, there is one piece of clothing that I always wished I had actually bought, but didn't and now it's forever gone. It' your fabulous army vest from Old Navy! I know, nothing super fancy but I swoon every time I see someone with it on and my heart breaks a little bit. "Why didn't I buy you when I had the chance?!?!?"

2. I'm obsessed with Emily the bachelorette. I think she is adorable and so stink in' cute with her southern accent. Why didn't I grow up in the south?

3. I'm blogging in my pi's...and it's gonna be 10am before I get out of them. I know, lazy but I love it!

oh my gosh, sleeping all night long...i can only dream of that. I know you'd give that night's sleep back in a second but still! Must feel amazing. Hope you're back with your little one very soon. Your kisses and hugs will be all the sweeter for the break.

June 26, 2012 10:49 AM

i hope you're enjoying your little vacation!!

I had a similar experience in London once (minus leaving a husband and baby behind). It was freezing out, and I had just come off of a 36 hour airport/flight/customs waiting game and instead of sight-seeing, I just laid in that bed and slept, slept, slept. And drank tea. And then slept some more.

June 26, 2012 11:38 AM

seems so relaxing and that few is amazing.

I must admit, I love getting to spend some time alone in a hotel. I do miss my little ones while I am gone.

June 26, 2012 1:15 PM

I have a super hard time falling asleep normally, and when my husband is away it's even worse, so good for you getting your sleep on. Mamas deserve it.

June 26, 2012 1:27 PM

you are just too funny! that bed and view look absolutely incredible! take full advantage of those restful nights. and when you get back, snuggle and kiss your boys and enjoy every second with them. can't wait to see all the hard work you have been doing out in California :)

Ohh Syd, enjoy your alone time! I miss my girls when they stay one night away from me with their grandparents, so I am certain when the time comes and I travel alone without them, I will surely miss them, but it is a good thing for kids and parents to get breaks from one another, seriously true! You lucky ducky to wake up to such a Beautiful view!!!!! Have a blast Mama!

There is something utterly indulgent about an all-white hotel bed. When searching for my honeymoon hotel down in Costa Rica, I chose the one with the crisp white sheets! Enjoy your sleep!

June 26, 2012 9:05 PM

I had to spend 6 nights alone in a hotel room a couple weeks ago and HATED it!

June 27, 2012 12:05 AM

Don't know where you are alone in that hotel bed all alone, but the view is GORGEOUS. What is it about nice hotel beds and sheets and pillows and being able to sleep in the middle undisturbed? ENJOY!
