Boots: Urban Outfitters, Jeans: F21, Sweater: c/o The Impeccable Pig, Headband: the depths of my bathroom cupboard P.S. I'm just gonna go ahead and preface this post with the disclaimer that this headband is much less of a style statement and much more of a showering is pretty much a joke today statement. Just keepin' it honest. I'm aware that I look like an egg head. Carry on.
This week has been rather un-magical so far. Shots and babies with sore legs does not a happy household make. But this morning I woke up to a swift smack in the face and a little boy obsessed with testing how stretchy my lips are. Translation: he's feeling better. Today is going to be a good day. Maybe rainy. But that's OK. Everett likes helping me hold the umbrella anyway. And I finally get my husband back after he eats the GMAT for breakfast on Saturday. {We've got our celebratory pom-poms and a 'go daddy' cheer ready over here!} So that's certainly a bright spot.

When it was small (the picture, on my phone) it looked like you chopped and dyed just your bangs black. Haha, glad to see its a headband :)
it's been rainy and pretty un-magical around here (Jersey City) too...
if it weren't for the day job i'd be sitting at home watching old seasons of Parenthood all snuggled up on the couch... best show EVER!!
oh man. now i am coveting that sweater BIG TIME! is it comfy or scratchy?
I'm with ya on the headband, but it does look cute! I'm in love with that sweater though!

WOOT for headbands on days that aren't shower worthy. :D I like seeing the bloggers I admire doing that too.
Is it wrong that I miss the rain? The rainy season is officially gone and I think the days of clouds are coming to an end until fall. And I totally understand the whole GMAT thing. My tall guy is still a ways off from it (like a few years) but is cramming whenever he can.
omg! that sweater is beautiful!

Actually I think the headband goes with the folky-ness of the sweater..which by the way, I am going to go and purchase now!

Psh, I like the egg head look! And your sweet sweater.
Good luck to your hubs on the GMAT! I'm sure you can't wait to have him back...it's totally unfair how studying can steal a person away.
Happy hump day! :)
Haha I love the head band, showering is way over rated anyways. Good luck to Tyson I can't even imagine how tough it's been on everyone. Here's to a magical hump day.
awe glad to hear the little man is feeling better! and i love this outfit! when i first saw this on my dashboard i thought the black headband was your hair--meaning it was black! lol but you look great :)

I'm so excited about your husband taking the GMAT. Finally done with that!
GAH. i love that sweater!!
p.s. it is hilarious when elderly people say "hump day". just sayin', if you want to laugh...
The red with the white jeans looks really great. Warm and cozy but still spring appropriate.
I need to get a pair of white pants! I'm especially loving them with pastel tops and neon accessories this spring and summer!

Love this poncho! Great rainy day look :)
Ok. It's official. You have THE best style. If I could choose anyone's wardrobe to acquire (since this happens oh-so-often and one should always be ready with an answer in case the opportunity presents itself...ha) I'd choose yours! Hands down. Keep doin what you're doin! Your blog is loved. <3
This is adorable!
Tell Tyson good luck on the GMAT! I take it next Saturday, and I've probably been freaking out/studying for the past two months.
... what's wrong with hump?
:D
I think the headband looks good on your head. There, I said it. :)

I love that it's different, I could never stick to just one "look"...variety is the spice of life right. -- That's why I SO enjoy your sense of style because you have lots of fun and don't take yourself too seriously and you wear all sorts of looks amazingly well, my inspiration! : )

I hope Tyson does well on the GMAT! I just scheduled mine and although it's still a few months away I'm already worrying about it.
ps even with the egg head you still look very cute.
Hi Sydney! You are so, so awesome and your blog is my favorite! I have a question for you...I'm also young and married (no babies yet...but your posts on how fabulous Everett is give me major baby fever!), and I wanted to ask how you're feeling about the whole wife/mother/career lady balance these days. Is it how you expected? Is it difficult? I've been thinking about this stuff a lot as I think about when my hubbs and I should start a family. Let me know what it's like on the other side!
P.S.: I originally found you through browsing Refinery29, and now I'm their new beauty intern :) crazy huh?

Lol! Oh, the headband. The horrible, horrible headband. The way your hair fell in the 2nd picture made it look like you were wearing a rugby helmet! Hilarious, but I'm sure comfortable, right?
Enjoy your day with your little cutie.
