welcome to the daybook! i'm sydney, husband is tyson, and baby is everett. this is our little blog about real life, personal style and stuff that's kinda funny sometimes. but that's coming from someone who cracks herself up a lot, soooo ...
very excited to see the campus section! I find that I'm always struggling a little bit to find the right mix of not being overdressed and not wanting to look like I rolled out of bed 10 minutes ago :) Thanks! xo
Every look is so well thought out and put together...what I love is that each one has a destinct character and individual look. Thank you for keeping fashion moving forward and encouraging us all to try putting things together just a little differently!
Sydney, it seems as though there are some grumpy/frumpy ladies over there hatin' on ur opinion. I feel sorry for them bcuz they obviously have nothing better to do, then b mean and sorry for u that u have to b the reciever of such cruel and harsh words....don't let them bring u down, u r beautiful annd we ALL love your style!! Keep letting ur light shine!!
Just read the article. You are adorable. As a fellow blog writer I REALLY hope you dont let the terrible comments get to you, esp. on valentines day! Some people just feel the need to put others down to feel better about themselves {never understood how exactly that works?!} So sorry of their behalf. You are amazing and just keep doing what you are doing. And as for the person who said it like it was a bad thing that you are a blogging mom, thats insane. You and I both know what a blessing it is to blog, AND to be a mom!!!!! Happy vday! <3, Adri
Loved your article and thought it was a very creative approach. However, I was sadden by the comments. You are so talented and there are so many women who read your blog and appreciate every post. As a previous blogger commented, please do not let those comments get to you. Pray for the people that submitted the mean posts, I think they need it!
Sydney! You are so creative! I always come here for style inspiration and I'm so happy for you that you are writing a column and getting to experience different things. I have a tulle skirt, it hits just below the knees but I love it! I saw a pin on Pinterest of a girl in a tulle skirt with a plaid button up and so now I want to put my lumber jack plaid with my tulle skirt! I just need some where to wear a fancy skirt! lol Always love the looks you come up with!
Sydney, I'm saddened by some of the comments on this! I think you are the most inspirational style blogger on the internet. You are real, fresh and not afraid to take risks, which is why we all love you so much! You allow us to see outside of the box. Don't let people knock you!!!!
Great article! The pictures are beautiful! Your tutu skirt is just perfect! I love the pop of color in the necklace/bracelet! Char xo www.itsacharmlife.blogspot.com
Syd, I Loved your post...while all those would NOT look good on this mamma..(me) I admire your style and your talent at being able to put anything together.... Please don't get down or change because of all those nasty commenters who are just jealous! keep doing what you love!
Wow, those first two outfits made me scream like a little girl inside. Second outfit was perfect for PR, don't let people who didn't read the email scare you off. LOVED the tulle skirt and accessories, although I have to admit, I would have done a fancier top for a formal. You definitely got my fashion creative juices flowing, bravo! Don't let those who think fashion is rigid cramp yo style. You go girl!
Beautiful pictures of New York!!! I love this city!!!! I love the yellow baby bag? Is it a baby bag, right? Where did you get it? www.notasinfashion.blogspot.com
I'm super bummed that many of the commenters were so mean. I thought you looked great. Plus, the article is called How Sydney Wears It for a reason, right?
Thank you for putting yourself out there, open for criticism as you inspire us to look fabulous every day. I love checking your blog for new ideas and love your style! Now to get me a skirt like look #3...
so i just went to read the article and i was absolutely shocked and amazed at how ruthless people can be on the internet. nobody had any right to put you down the way that they did...i think you did a wonderful job sydney and sure maybe you put together outfits that the typical *ahem* close minded person would not wear but that's why they asked YOU to write the article and not someone who would put together a typical outfit you see everyday.
thanks for putting yourself out there sydney, you're great!!

Syd,
Just wanted to say, like many others on here, that you are awesome!!
I hope that you recognize the talent you have and continue to keep doing your thing, despite what evil spirited others have to say.
Clearly they don't know how to handle a fresh, beautiful, mormon coming in and sweeping DC by surprise. :)
