These are great products! I searched for YEARS looking for a red lipstick that worked with my skin tone without turning too fushia or dark and once I tried nars heatwave I was in love. I wear it almost daily and cannot believe how gorgeous it is on.

I love my chance chanel perfume! But it's a small bottle so I rarely use it. And as for the nars lipstick, I have the nars lipstick pencil (different then lip liner) and it's super pretty too. They always have the best stuff!

I love L'Occitane!! All of their balms are amazing...Have you tried their shea butter lotions? I try to keep one on me at all times (and at most of my destinations!) except the grocery store... or public restrooms...
I live for Chanel Chance!! A couple of years ago I was at Nordstroms and they had an engraver that would write your name on the bottle {I love it even more!}
Oh! I've wanted to try i.d. Bare Minerals for such a long time but I've never used mineral makeup before and I don't know any makeup freaks so I'm scared to buy it in case I get it wrong, like the color or something.

i love bare minerals! wouldn't put anything else on my face... I never thought about using anything but a powder blush with it since it's a poweder as well... I might have to try a creamy blush with it!
Hi Sydney, I love following your blog! I had my first baby, also a boy, about a month after you. I absolutely agree with the bare minerals and the mousse blush - they make me feel glamorous in about 5 minutes! I have recently added lipstick to my makeup collection and am loving it! Is there a drugstore brand that you like, and is there a drugstore red that is comparable to your Nars lipstick?

Make sure you wear primer underneath the Bare Minerals makeup!! The particles are triangular and can cause tiny openings that dirt can get in through to cause blemishes!

I totally relate to this post! And did a similar post when my baby girl was fairly new. As a new mama my skin is more radiant than ever- I think it's from not putting a full face of makeup on every day from work. And my hair (what's left of it post pregnancy) is as healthy as it's ever been because I rarely bust out the blowdryer because of nap time. There's trade offs. It's hard not to just lounge around in PJs all day, but I figure it's probably nice for husband to come home and see you actually tried that day. So I TRY. :)
