lipstick for a cause

Wednesday, January 4

*this is not a sponsored post. I just think these guys are awesome.
As you probably know by now ... I have a thing for lipstick. Any kind. The drug store stuff and the fancy-shmancy stuff. So when I heard about a lipstick that's backed by a cause other than looking beau-tee-ful, I wanted to tell ya about it! Radiant Cosmetics is built around a vision to end human trafficking through raising awareness as well as funds, with a percentage of profits going directly to an incredible anti-trafficking organization.
Pretty cool. So all you lipstick lovers and you in-the-closet lipstick lovers too. Here's an excuse to get yourself a bright new bold shade. {so far, this moisturizing lipstick is awesome}

such a beautiful color on you!! Unfortunately lip stick really doesn't look all that great on me. It makes my lips look thin :/

January 04, 2012 6:04 PM

Love it!! I love lipstick too, that color looks great on you!

Oooh, sounds awesome! I'm always searching for a good red for me... and natural and with good corporate practices are really appealing, too!

January 04, 2012 6:16 PM

awesome and great cause!

when I think about lipstick I always think about the women that lived in these poor villages in Guatemala..they kept asking us if we had any lipstick we wanted to give them. They didn't look like the lipstick wearing kind but it is just a testament that lipsticks make women feel good. One of my favorite lipstick was purchased at the dollar store....shhh..and it is sitting right next to my pretty christian dior lipstick.

Thank You for doing a post about this… I found out about human trafficking when I was about ten and I was literally sick. I think they do a really good job of letting people know that this is not just an overseas problem it happens in America, Canada and as much as I hate it the UK too (but even if it didn’t should we not work just as hard to bring it to an end).

January 04, 2012 7:53 PM

Thank you for posting this! I love finding out about retail organizations that help end human trafficking!!!!!!!!

Have you heard of http://shoerevolt.com/ ??
You donate gently used shoes to them instead of tossing them out! Then people buy them and the money goes to ending human trafficking.

January 05, 2012 1:08 PM

I've never worn lipstick in my life. And secretly afraid to try it. Plus my skin is so fair and red toned, I would have no idea what to do. But you look beau-tee-ful in it my dear. (:

January 05, 2012 1:52 PM

That colour is really pretty on you, I'm more of a balm than lipstick girl, but if its for a good cause...

January 05, 2012 5:37 PM

This is great! Lex Cosmetics also does this with nailpolish and proceeds go to various charities. We created a color called Lucky Girls for a girls orphanage I fundraise for in India!

Love this! This is an amazing cause, there are 27 million slaves in the world today. That is more slaves than ever before. Among this is human trafficking. I was just apart of a conference called Passion. Together we raised over 3 million dollars to help end slavery world wide (as well in the US) So I think This is an amazing company and I will be ordering some of this beautiful lipstick soon! Thanks for the Post!
