104 mister elephant called. he wants his ankles back
Boots: Unity from Famous Footwear, Leggings: Target, Top: c/o Threadcase, Vest: YesStyle, Watch: Gift Clutch: c/o Chicwish
Last night as my mom, Tys and I were stuffed in the love seat finishing up a movie, I so happened to prop my legs up in front of me and suddenly caught a glimpse of the ghastly, swollen, elephant-like things that are growing on what used to be my ankles. Holy. Disturbing. {I blame my masseuse. Pretty sure he released a bucket-load of toxins from my muscles yesterday. Those puppies were tight.} Today, I'm going to attempt to prop my legs up at least 3 feet above my head at all times and get them back to size. But we'll see how long that lasts. I think my laundry pile wants to eat me.
So what are you guys up to this weekend? We originally had plans to go to the pumpkin patch and pick ourselves out a nice mister Jack-O, but it's been super rainy. We might brave it and slop through in our rain boots, or we might stay home and give me and only me each other footrubs this weekend.
Things are getting super exciting around here, this last pregnancy stretch. Super. Exciting.

Water retention is one of those awesome things about pregnancy that everyone thinks won't happen to them, and of course it does. Like me, for instance, I transformed into Jabba the Hut with my first baby. It scared the heck out of my husband, although he won't admit it. Haha. You look fantastic, and a little swelling means you're almost done, yippee!
Oh you poor thing! I can totally identify. When I was about to pop with my daughter, the doctor walked into the room, took one look at my ankles then said, "Wow! You're giving Fred Flintstone a run for his money!" Thanks, Doc.
I know what you mean about exciting days. I spend my entire day looking at blogs, watching Mad Men and Friday Night Lights, and eating. It sounds easy but it's ridiculous. Oh, and if I'm up past 9:30 it's a wild night. Pregnancy is grand.
you're looking great.
I'm not looking forward to swollen ankles... keep those feet up!!!

Looking beautiful, love those boots!
I took the red-eye megabus from DC to Tennessee, and my ankles were really swollen when I got off the bus this morning! My husband was scared I had some sort of thrombosis or something so he keeps calling to check on me and make sure I'm drinking water haha. I don't have pregnancy to blame my water retention on though!
I think you should put on those cute green wellies and go get a pumpkin! Thats our plan... minus the wellies... its been a balmy 90ish degrees here in Cali.
you poor sweet thing. Nothing special here, same things...
love your clutch!

OMG, that's one huge belly ... but it look so cute

My hubby told me yesterday he could be home by next week from being gone a year overseas! I am soooooo excited, yet nervous at the same time!!!!!! Love your outfit. And yes, I had those awesome elephant ankles too- only after I had my baby. Hope you get to pick your pumpkin! :)
You look so great! Love those boots so much!
Just so you know, you and your cuteness, are the reason I now own a fur vest. :)
This outfit and that vest- amazing!
Ah you look lovely, Sydney! Good luck with the pumpkins! Isn't it crazy that this time next year you'll be going with your own little punkin?!
Cankles or no, you are a beautiful, stylish pregnant lady!
Aw, I'm sorry! Swollen ankles do NOT sound fun. I'm terribly scared that one day when I get pregnant my ankles will swell and my feet will swell and my (very high) arches will drop and by the time I give birth my feet will have gotten significantly larger. Silly? Perhaps, LOL, but my mom's feet grew with every pregnancy and I have a ridiculous attachment to my small feet. <--- Totally realizing how absurd all this sounds, so I'll stop it right there. :D Changing subect: You look ADORABLE! Good luck with the home stretch!

Haha. We're going to get pumpkins + mums this weekend :) I hope it doesn't rain, but ur hunter rain boots are so cute! It might make for some fun pictures. I'm planning on wearing mine this weekend! We're going to my sister's farm.
SUCH A GREAT OUTFIT! I love the vest + floral! Just elevate your legs and keep them in warm water for some pampering.

how are you that prego and still so fabulous and stylish!! Unreal. I hope to be as hot a prego woman one day as you.
You look beautiful! I was so stoked when my feet and ankles didn't swell during my pregnancy, but boy was I surprised when they tripled in size after I had already given birth. Just when I thought I would start looking like a normally proportioned human too! It was a cruel surprise!
This made me laugh out loud. Isn't it bazaar how only ankles swell sometimes? Jeesh. You do look beautiful and pregnant! You really are glowing, Syd!

Pumpkin patch sounds wonderful. I wish there were some over here in Germany, with hay rides and corn mazes and fun stuff like that.
Girl you look cuter severely prego than I do on any day ... so in love with the fur vest as well ... it's on my "need to find" list.
You look so cute! I love love your outfit. xo, rv

i've heard friends say compression socks are helpful during pregnancy. never been preg, but they def help me last through the workday standing on concrete floors.
Aww, you poor thing! Luckily you're still adorable, so no one can tell! It's like a monsoon here is MA...all our outdoor plans got cancelled too. :(

Staying at home sounds nice and cozy(: haha, ahhh I am so exited! I cannot wait to meet the baby!
I remember swollen ankles. I had to cut out almost all salt to get them to calm down. The moment I ate anything super salty they would balloon up again.

I love the way you wear your hair! One of these days you should post a tutorial about it. This weekend, you ask? I'm calling it a Fall cleaning weekend. Lots of overdue house work. Cannot WAIT! Hahaha
You look so adorable!! I love that top on you! And your belly is the cutest!
At least your shoes still fit. I have the elephant ankles too . . . but my feet have actually gotten longer, so NONE of my shoes fit. Awesome.
Holy adorable! The vest is too cute for words. And you've hit on a great hiding trick in those boots--your ankles still look tiny in them!
word on the street is ankles are overrated. you're a gorgeous baby carrier!
Hey Sydney this is kind of random, but do you have any reccomendations for wear to buy a wedding bolero that is not only beautiful and will match a lace dress, but affordable?
Hubby and I are doing punkins this weekend too. We also might a stab at wrangling the carseat into the back seat. The home stretch, here we come! Good luck to you.
Aww elephant ankles are to be expected. You look gorg!
Hoping to make it to Annapolis tomorrow, also barring rain.
...just tell me if your boots are size 8 and up for sale??? I mean, I'm just trying to help a pregnant woman out...those must kill the ankles...right?? (wink, wink)!
you look fantastic as usual Sydney! i am sick and this weekend will be low key for me.

Sydney look at your cute baby bump! That baby is almost here. So excited for you and Tyson. That is such a fun time! Make sure and take a ton of newborn pics. Everyone told us to and we took some and I still wish we would have taken more, they grow SO fast!
Even 8 months pregnant you still manage to look super cute and fashionable! Love it!
your pregnancy belly just might be the cutest one i've ever seen. and the fact that you dress it quite well is even better. that baby is gonna grow up to be a fashionista just like his mother, i just know it. :)
hahaha. you never fail to make me laugh. good luck on the ankles :) I think giving birth is the only real solution though.
You look beyond amazing!

Hey, at least your boots still fit!
Just wait until AFTER the baby comes...they may get even larger! Agh! In the hospital after baby comes, your ankles will swell up soooo bad! (Then all the retained water gets released through sweating to death every single night for a week! TMI? Well, it's not that glamorous, but I'm sure you are so excited... ;) ...For your little man to get here, that is!
i think you look simply lovely
I had a baby 2 1/2 weeks ago and have loved following your blog during our pregnancies! I found that the days that I was more active (like going for long walks), the less swollen I was. I think the activity helped to keep things flowing instead of settling in my ankles. Hope that helps these last few weeks!
Just found your blog and I LOVE it. I am 21 weeks pregnant and absolutely want to raid your closet. Question: are the leggings you get from target in all your pictures from the maternity section or regular womens? I NEED them!!
You make pregnancy look beautiful and effortless!
