This weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tania {of
What Would A Nerd Wear} and
Megan Nielsen {THE designing and sewing mommy wonder}. We met in Georgetown for a yummy brunch at
Cafe Bonaparte {so charming by the way ... highly recommend!} I went out on a limb and ordered thei
r poached eggs with hollandaise sauce. A surprisingly delicious change of pace, after all these years of waffles, maple syrup and bacon. {I like what I like}
It was the best afternoon. These girls are lovely on these here internets, but even better in person. Tania is the essence of grace and friendliness. Her polka dot skirt was a real hit with the gents that day {cause she's just that soopa spicy}. And Megan was bubbly and completely charming. Plus I could have listened to her gorgeous Australian accent forever.
It's so great when you can pick up with someone like you've known them
for ages. Making connections with women like this is exactly what I love about this whole blogging thing.

My husband and I are both in grad school in DC, and we live right up the road from Cafe Bonaparte. I peeked in this morning actually, as the bus was driving by, and I agree that it is quite quaint and charming, though I have yet to eat there. cute shirt! it wasn't homemade traditional hollandaise was it?? that has raw eggs. one of the things i missed the most while pregnant was hollandaise sauce.

ah! Georgetown is probably my favorite city in the whole U.S. Well, I haven't actually been to every city in the country so it's hard for me to say that for 100% sure ... but it's definitely up there. I spot a Madewell bag in Tania's hand ... can't wait to see that item pop up on her blog!

Hiii I just discovered your blog through your guest post on Oh Joy, and I was outrageously excited to discover that you live where I live!!! I have been scrolling through your blog for like an hour now, and think you have the best pregnancy style {well, style in general} that I have ever seen! I am in awe of the way you throw the most creative and chic outfits together, while being 8 months pregnant. Also I love Megan Nielsen and I LOOOOVVVEEE Bonaparte!
