new in town

Wednesday, August 3

My dad and little brother drove up from North Carolina to help us move in on Monday. And thank goodness for it too. It was just him and husband. My weak-sauce self decided the cooler wood floors was where I was meant to sit and stay. It was a scorcher and baby was not having any of it. So thank you Dad and E! Then yesterday, we decided that unpacking was for suckers and ventured into the city to do some exploring.
Please appreciate the belly button. It has arrived.
And the cutest old man with stylish glasses who loves 5 squeezed lemons in his tea.
So excited to get settled into our life here! New friends, new phase and new home with a tiny room just for baby boy. Also on the agenda of new: a shopping spree for way more breezy skirts. My jeans are about at their max holding capacity. Grow baby grow!

Welcome to NOVA and DC!! Wish it was a bit cooler for you, as we are experiencing typical hot-as-all-get-out-record-high August temps :). Hope you like the shopping around here - there's lots to go to, from Tysons to Dulles Town Center to Fair Oaks, and then of course, all of the little shops as well :).

Sydney, I'm loving the lucious belly button. Mine never really pops until the bitter end. Hmm, I think I'll blame that on my 3 kids already here and not Dreyer's. Our little man already feels about the size of a toddler and I've still got 10 weeks to go. I've moved every time I've been pregnant with the exception of this time, and dude, I so would be a cranky-crankster if anyone asked me to load and unload boxes this time around. Best of luck to you in your new place. Can't wait to hear about all your new adventures.
