Their baked potatoes were bomb and their blue cheese dressing was even better. BONUS: there was even a waitresses to be stern with you when you didn't finish all your pork. awesome!
Then there was this sweet old theater where a movie is $5 and candy is $1. Anybody who payed more to see that crazy long movie is a sucka.
No 'fence.
My favorite part by far though, had to be the row of old couches in the very back. Prime make-out material my friends. Prime.
Have a happy weekend you guys!
I'll see you back here {with a little less sunscreen in my bottle} on Monday!

Oh dear I love this post. Such simple magic. The one of you watching the movie is lovely.
And those couches? I completely agree with you.
Yesssssssssss! That couch placement is AMAZING! Judging by the fabric, I bet it's been there since the '70s and seen quite a bit of action ;)
How fun!! What town did you find that adorable theatre in??
Looks like so much fun! The hubs and I will have to check those places out. They're in St. Anthony right? Have a fun weekend!!

That is so bizarre how there were couches at the back of the theater...but I kind of love it.
Awwww ... that looks so lovely. And a $1 candy ... score! Amazing photography as always. I love how you capture those 'little moments'.

This looks like so much fun! Those couches remind me of the Black, White and Read movie theatre in "Gilmore Girls", if you know what I am talking about :)

Your blog is absolutely lovely, and so are you! Thanks for sharing!
What a fun weekend plan! And I had to laugh since I was a "sucka" that paid full price for Transformers! I totally didn't expect it to be 3 hours and went to a 1030 pm show... sometime between midnight and 1am my boyfriend had to move my sleeping head off his numb arm and my 3D glasses were on the floor with all my popcorn haha.
I hope this weekend is full of great memories of your "old" town!

I would like a movie theater like that though. I can't believe how much it is to go see a movie now a days!

What a great old theater! I feel like moving away from a place you love is so bittersweet, but getting to cross things off your bucket list is the best haha
Ohhhh, Chiz's.
I did my student teaching in St. Anthony. It was the best. Seriously, I'm not being sarcastic.
Enjoy the last little bit of Rexburg. You'll be surprised how much you'll miss it. I know I was.
was that in St Anthony!?! my gparents live a block away from Chiz's. Ain't that sweet!
Chiz's is THE best! My mom worked there for years and I have to have their food every time I visit home.
I will miss seeing my hometown in your posts. :)
I had a theater similar to that one back when I was in college, too! So strange, yet so affordable &, therefore, awesome. :] Enjoy your adventures this weekend!
What did you do to that pic of your hubby in the theatre in photoshop? PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE, a tutorial!? Your last one about making vintage photos was perfection. I need another now that I'm addicted! :)
Aw man, I got jipped! In San Antonio, we don't have small theatres like that! What did you think of the movie? I thought it was pretty shweet. But nothing can contain my excitement for Harry Potter next week! Eeeeeep!
:)
xx
Cute movie theater! I love cheap places like that! Cheap I said? I mean awesome! And cheap too, which is also awesome.
love this post. that movie theatre looks so cute!
That theater is AMAZING! The couches remind me of the little theater in Gilmore Girls....remember Gilmore Girls? I miss them....
Anyway, you look great! Happy Weekend!
Julie Del @ J.Bird
i love that photo of you watching the movie. it is such a cute picture.
p.s. i was in your little town over the weekend! drove by the temple, stopped at the walmart, it was great. :)
CUTE! Seriously, those sofas...I might need to steal one.
I'm from SE Idaho and haven't been to those places yet, so thanks for the tip. :) Hope you guys enjoy your weekend!
that theatre looks so fun! love that couch :)
Looks like a great adventure! I need to find a Ma and Pa restaurant near me -- nothing like a stern waitress making you feel *good* about finishing your meal, right?

ohh these photos are fantastic! that cinema looks so cool & kitsch - we have a local one sort of similar, with leather couches & cheap bowls of homemade popcorn, but it only seats 26 so you have to book!
your hair has been looking seriously fantastic lately..

The photography is great! Tyson is getting better and better.
As a reader, I'm excited for you move and the DC related posts coming down the pike. I love that city. Good luck on your big move!
I hate to be a party pooper, and I'm sure you already know this but I just wanted to make sure you knew about being careful with blue cheese when you're pregnant since it's normally not pasteurized and is a soft cheese. Just want to make sure you and your babe are safe! :)
That kills me that you went to Chiz's. It's delicious, though! Did anyone get the giant shrimp, because they still visit me in my dreams. YUM!
aww, you guys had such a fun & fabulous day -love! Major yum, to those baked potatoes and couches in a movie theater?! How totally fantastic. Best of luck with the packing and moving. xx veronika

Gosh! This is the best theater ever! I love the picture of husband all alone in the seats! And the couch idea is kind of tempting haha. Sounds like you had a great time!

Oh, St. Anthony, how I miss you. I have memories of my Dad taking me to Chiz's when I was itty-bitty. And we used to go the Roxy for "date nights". Thanks for the memories!
Adorbs. As usual. Love the old theater.
