sunday's best hour

Monday, June 6

 Yesterday evening, around 8, I went on a bike ride all by myself.
It was quiet, warm, the sun was setting and it smelled like fresh cut grass and sometimes lilacs.
Sundays are nice in this town ... with not a whole lot of cars. So all you can hear is the breeze and your wheels on the pavement. Like therapy. Or extra special breathing time. {Until you decide to ditch for a little while and go exploring. And maybe trespass for just an eensy-beensy bit because there's this old swing-set that's too perfect to pass up for a school project.}
 After which, I peddled through bugs and ate 3.
 And discovered a quiet park. With pretty trees. {The white bark is always my favorite}
 And took a ridonkulous self portrait for the bump's sake.
{Happy 16 weeks little bump. I'm excited to feel you start moving soon}
 And then stopped for long drink. Which backfired.
Due to certain sprinklers which shall remain nameless.
In other news, while I was waiting at the cross-walk, the bump and I got hit on.
That's right. By two boys in a truck who don't have eyeballs.
"Yo Baby. How you doin?"

Actually I'm knocked up. Wanna dance Romeo?

They didn't want to dance.

I love going on bike rides alone. It's very peaceful. I used to live out by Utah Lake and I would hit up the Provo bike trail at least 4 times a week.

Cute baby bump by the way! Stripes always work for pregos.

LOL that is fabulous.

I got hit on once when i was 8 months prego. At the time i thought it was just creepy but now looking back at the glowing skin and thick and luscious hair i had at the time i can't say i blame him.

I hope you enjoy all the doors that are held open for you and the knowing smiles you receive during this time in your life.

HaHa! When I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter I was leaving the hospital after a check up. too swollen to wear my wedding band a young gentleman in the elevator asked me "You gotta baby's daddy." As I blankly starred at him in disbelief someone would ask such a question, he continued on to say, "I'll be your baby's daddy." .... yep that actually happened.

Sounds like my perfect day! One day when I was going to BYU Hawaii I took a day bikeride stopping at random antique stores and beaches. It was amazing until I tried to get my bike on the bus to take me home... let's just say the driver had to get out and help...that is a lot harder than it looks!

LOL this made me laugh. Being a mom myself, I'd like to say the boy comments stop, by I still get them even when I'm out walking with my 3 year old. Baby bump or no baby bump, some guys are just plain gross!

That reminds me of a hilarious story a friend told me, she's actually a couple of years older than you but like you is very young looking. So she's heavily pregnant and shopping in town with some friends, several women were giving her the evils because they assumed she was 17 and pregnant, not 25. She laughs about it now but at the time she was annoyed because people kept assuming she was a teen mum.
