oh baby

You guys! We're so overwhelmed! Thank you so much for your enthusiastic and sincere words of congratulations yesterday ... your sweet tweets, facebook messages and comments ... gosh! We are feeling the love! Husband is traveling this week, but I made sure to fill him in on all your loveliness last night on the phone. You made our day! Thank you!

I tell you what, I was bursting at the seams to finally announce our little bebe. A few of you predicted what was going on when there was less posting. And you were right. Dude, making a baby can be hard work! I've had quite a few down days this first trimester, a lot of which were spent wearing the same comfy T-shirt and leggings over and over again ... thus ... a significant lack of picture days. That, and Awkward and Awesomes {and you thought I'd forgotten!}. But I've been saving up those special awky little moments just for you. And we shall resume all talk of our embarrassing selves next week. Pregnancy has a special way of making me about 50x more awkward than I already was. How exciting.

So. Deets. We're about three and a half months along with only about 5 and a half to go {every half counts kids}... with baby set to arrive right around Thanksgiving. Sometimes it seems like a lifetime away, but now that some of my energy is starting to come back ...and I've stopped throwing up in parking lots ... 5 and a half months doesn't seem bad at all. I get more excited about my changing body every day. And it's so exciting to see the bathroom scale changing too. Every pound is like a victory point for our healthy, growing alien child. Although I think my newest, and most fabulous additions might have stolen a victory point or two as well. Husband is so proud.

Speaking of alien child ... I swear, some of the growth illustrations in our baby books freak me out ... in a "oh. look at its sweet little body trying to catch up with its gigantic head" kind of way.  It still looked holy-cute in our ultrasound though. Good job baby!

Also. YES. We're finding out what it is ... at our next appointment in 6 weeks. eee! I think it's a boy and husband thinks it's a girl. I'm right of course. My only wish is that the bebe comes out looking like husband ... and acting like me. Then, we shall have created the perfect child.
Sounds easy enough.
