Memorial Day

Tuesday, May 31

Originally, our Memorial Day weekend had grand plans of taking a trip down to Jackson Hole for a little hiking and picnicking and riding to the top of mountains on ski lifts. But the weather had other plans. And it decided to rain and hail.
So we improvised.
{We hadn't really wanted to get out of our sweats anyway}
So we went to the video store. And checked out FOUR different movies.
All time record for the Poulton house.
Then we broke every rule in the book, went to the grocery store hungry, and played the
"throw whatever our heart desires into the cart and make a run for it before we realize how many name brand items we actually threw in there" game. *gasp!*
Not pictured: mac and cheese, Oreos, spicy pork rinds {gag me} and tomato soup. Yowza, the randomness.
The heavens opened when we ate our asiago french bread and goudy's garlic herb cheese spread. Also, there was singing and much rejoicing.
And then we made a giant blanket bed in our living room, watched movies and ate our feast the whole rainy day long.
Hooray for really crappy Memorial Day weather!

Cute! Sometimes that is just as good as going out and having the craziest busiest day! Time at home is always needed!

How fun! We had ridiculously hot sunny weather (like heat warning weather that causes crazy sweating after being outside for 90 seconds) yesterday which is nice for Memorial Day, but your precious day inside looks much more exciting than mine!

Haha I wish my '"throw whatever our heart desires into the cart and make a run for it before we realize how many name brand items we actually threw in there" game' looked as healthy as yours!
I'm pretty jealous of your day :) Mine was spent cleaning and doing yard work in 90 degree weather :/

Sounds like a perfect day to me! I was secretly VERY VERY happy when I woke up and it was pouring with rain! But the sky dried up and instead I had a blast doing this: http://saffakate.blogspot.com/2011/05/how-gumby-and-i-celebrated-memorial-day.html

That sounds like an amazing relaxing weekend. Even though Jackson Hole is fun, that movie party weekend is what I need! Going to the grocery store starving is the worst, you always end up spending so much money.

This sounds similar to my Memorial Day weekend. We called it a "stay-cation" because it was just the cure for busy college students. Movies, good food, good company. I'm glad you had a good time! Sometimes, staying in is even better than going out!

Congrats, again, on your little "lemon!"

Prayers!

Gosh Darned you all are cute! You and your husband should do relationship therapy. I’m serious. I would go! I am sure everyone is dying to know how you all make it work and stay so perfect for each other, because sister it’s not easy! If you are not going to do therapy maybe a little therapeutic blog post about how you all make it work so well? Just saying I would eat that stuff up! As always you are amazing and I will never stop checking for a new post from you!
