Awkward and Awesome Thursday!

Thursday, February 24

Shoes: Famous Footwear, Jeggings: c/o Windsor Store, TShirt: F21, Sweatshirt: c/o YesStyle, Hat: Walmart
Awkward
- The fact that I'm even bothering to take pics of this outfit right now. But you should know that I have sweatshirt days too. And they are extra delicious.
- Fake nerd glasses. Which is why I just got my first pair.
- Stretching my arms a little bit in class and smacking my isle-pacing professor right in the gut. Either he didn't feel it, or we already made a "I'm going to ignore awkward moments like these" pact at the beginning of the semester that I just wasn't aware of -- cause there was noooooo acknowledgment. Double awkward. BAM.
- My bangs first thing in the morning. It's a serious injustice not taking pictures of those things.
- How many 'skater-ish boys' came up to me like
"oooohhhhhmyyyyyyygooosssshhhhhhh your sweatshirtttttttttttt"
Calm Down.
-Running into plants. And old friends. Simultaneously.
- This picture from middle school. You're welcome.
- Running into a very full lecture class one minute - I repeat ONE MINUTE late, and trying to sign the roll. Professor looks at the clock, then looks at his watch, taking I don't know, a good 74389728 seconds to inspect it and finally says "Op. No roll for you missy" ... and then I take the long walk of shame to the back of the class. It's situations like this when I wish A: that I owned an invisibility cloak and B: that it was socially acceptable for me to throw my books down, yell adolescently "Well fine! I can see that NOBODY loves me around here! " and run sobbing out of class.

Awesome
-Husband's random G-chat:

31 minutes
1:10 PM Tyson: you at home still?
1:11 PM hiya!! karatee chop!
  I wants food!!
  I wants food and you!!
   baaaaah!- Mumford and Sons. Period.
- Husband wearing suspenders today. There's just something about them that make his lips that much more appealing.
- Writing stuff on my To-Do list that I've already done just so I can cross it off and admire how much I did that day.
- The sweetest lady ever getting me flowers yesterday. Thank you. You're wonderful.
- Stale Brownies. Go ahead and judge, but I'm a believer.
- Husband leaving on a business trip to Boston for a WHOLE week on Monday. This is neither awesome nor awkward. I need an "awful" category.
Just kidding. It's AWESOME for him. I can just be such a wimp-baby sometimes. {Oh yes. wimp-babies are real}

You know what to do! Link up your Awkward and Awesome's HERE!

Mumford IS awesome! I saw them back in November and am just so in love with their music.

& I think that professor should have just let you be a minute late and sign the roll anyway. Rude!!

Oh, I just can't do the fake nerd glasses...I look at them, and instant annoyance rises up in me, haha. It seems so self consciously precocious and hipster-iffic. My awesome was my multi-vitamins working (turns out I was anaemic and the iron works a treat) so I went for a walk and found the cutest park.
It was sunny and mild so I didn't need my winter coat.

Awkward was when a guy with a walking stick got pissed off at a can on the pavement and whacked it with his stick, the can was full and it went everywhere nearly covering me in soda.

I love it when my fiance wears slim fit t-shirts, it makes him extra kissable.

I would say that would be a major awkward moment...but it actually made the date more fun cuz we both laughed our faces off over my reaction haha ...guess whose goin on another date? booyah ;]

I hate when professors pretend we don't pay thousands a quarter/semester to be there which is also where their salary comes from ;)

Your blog makes me consider blogging myself :) I WISH my fiancé was a photographer! How fun!! Instead, he is a super hot computer genius which can be equally beneficial on my behalf! I know how you feel about Tyson traveling for work :( My finance is gone in Omaha, Nebraska (woh wohh wohhh)for an entire week and we JUST got settled into our new home. I bet blogging could be the perfect cure for the lonesomes!

I stumbled upon your blog in the STRANGEST way so I thought I should share :) So I went to IKEA for the FIRST time last weekend (in Cincinnati, Ohio). The store makes for an AMAZING day trip! After we packed up the truck with a load of purchases for our new condo, I noticed a girl and her red zipper boots hop into the truck next to ours..I've been on the lookout for the perfect pair of brown, leather, flat-heeled boots. SO, later I was sure to google brown boots, red zipper (I was very determined to find these). Somewhere in the results there was a photo of you in your "going out with a punch" outfit (LOVE). Another blogger blogged about the boots and referenced your picture with a link to your blog. I found them online and the LAST PAIR was my size! 2 days ago they came in the mail and I think I'm in love..with shoes AND your blog :) Tah Dah!!

BTW today I had (my very first) awkward number-on-a-napkin experience...BUT in the Wendy's drive through!!! I went to get some chili on my lunch break and "Bill" wrote his name & number on a yellow napkin that was stuffed in my bag. I actually had to go back because he forgot to give me my diet coke!!

things that make me happy:
A)stretching your arms. HA that he didn't say anything. totally just got a mental image and it is embarrassingly awkward...for him.
B) your husbands G-chat. i think you might have picked a winner.
C) skater boys that like your sweatshirt. if you weren't already married i'd say you could date one.
D) running into things. i do this on a DAILY basis. and it's always awkward cuz it's at the moments when i'm feeling the coolest. super dumb.
E) suspenders seriously makes boys hotter. nerd factor. i think so.
