Awkward- Ew! I did that cliche little fashion blogger feet-turned-in thingy and I didn't even know it!! Bleh. Note to self: howsabout we don't do that anymore.
- The poor guy who came into my office the other day with his nose just covered in ... stuff. He couldn't tell cause his face was frozen. And I was trying to be sensitive about it right? So I handed him a tissue and said, "here you go". And what does he do? He puts it right in his pocket, that's what. So I hand him another one. Nothin. So I'm finally like, "hey um ... you got a little ... somethin somethin. Just ... you know ... in this general region. You might wanna use that Kleenex there."
So finally the guy gets it. But just in case anyone is wondering. When someone hands you a Kleenex ... pal, it's a social cue. You gotta take care of your stuff.
K Soapbox Over.
- Walking by the opera practice rooms at 8 in the morning. No 'fence.
- Stealth thrift shopping. It's the way we have to do it around here in this college town. "Baby quick! I think she's about to put that sweater back. It's your size! Wait for it ... wait for it. GOOOOOOOO!!! NOWWWW!!! *Obviously, he runs* FINALLY! I've been waiting for this sweater my whole entire life! It's MINNEEEEEEE. muah ha ha ha." We don't lose at thrift shopping. Ever.
-Bangs that get greasy twice as fast cause they're against your forehead all day. I forgot about that part. Let's hear it for hats!!
- Husband getting embarrassed when I say the word boogs *apparently* too loud in public. But I guess that's only awkward for him.
- The awful silence in the bathroom when you're in the stall and just one other chick is primping herself in the mirror. Sometimes I just want to yell out, "K I'm not gonna do anything until you leave ... so how bout we just speed the process up a little and you primp somewhere else"
Awesome
- My duck boots. That I swiped for 4 bucks. Like I said, Muah ha ha ha
- The ginormous amount of donuts my professor randomly brought to class this morning.
- Jeggings!!! I don't care if you hate them. They are the best thing that's ever happen to me. You might even call them, "the light of my life"
- Nail polish that has stayed un-chipped for not just one day, but TWO. Twoooo!! We're setting some crazy personal records here.
- Husband talking my ear off for about 30 minutes right before bed last night. And then turning over and immediately falling asleep. Sometimes guys just have to talk too. Little precious-es
- The class that's held in the middle of the library. On special occasions, they blast Beyonce's "If I were a Boy" really really loud.
Never mind. That's awkward.

I hear ya on the bangs thing. The mornings I don't wash my hair I just wash them in the sink with a bit of shampoo then blow dry them, or I put baby powder on them...a trick my mom taught me! ;)

Dry shampoo should become your best friend now that you have bangs. I like batiste brand. It will change your life - for real.
I totally shied away from jeggings forever because the name is silly and it felt a little crazy to wear leggings like looked like pants. BUT my husband got me a pair for Christmas and I grossly wear them everyday. They are the best ever!!

AWESOME: we are celebrating V day on Saturday with yummy dinner reservations up in park city! Can't wait! Also getting Mani -pedis that morning with my sister in law whom I love! And I've got the whole Saturday off, I'm so excited!!!
Yeah, snobby fashionistas may thumb their nose at jeggings, but real people have to REALLY wear their clothes all day. That being said, jeggings are God's gift to the rest of us. = )
BTW, every once in a while, Windsor rocks my socks. It's a fun place to get a cheap dress, too.
Have you tried a gel manicure?? I used to be so proud of that same feat, and then I got a gel manicure and it changed my life....more than jeggings. A bit more expensive, but lasted TWO WEEKS with no chips, it grew out before it chipped!!!

yay duck boots! my parents used to wear them and now i have my mom's old ones. i feel so old school in them.
ps- one of my friends in high school had bangs and she used to wet them in the sink at lunch time and blow dry them under the hand drier. plumps those babies up every time.

I usually only wash my hair every other day (thank god for powdered dry shampoo) but I wash my bangs everyday... in the sink... in my dorm's communal bathroom. Then I blow dry them and VOILA! No more greasy mess.

Dry Shampoo - the greatest invention ever for bangs or sleeping through your alarm. I like Big Sexy brand the best, but it's a little pricey. The Wal-Mart Treseme kind doesn't work, but Pssssst! or Batiste are more affordable and work great. Good luck!

Those boots, total score! & Jeggings are BY FAR one of the best clothing things to EVER happen to me. EVER. I live in them.
I just got bangs too and noticed that!! Totally sucks, especially if you want to take those fashion photos AFTER a long day... just doesn't fly!

This post was so funny and i really get what you mean about the cliche' fashion pose with feet turned inward!! I thought it was just me that would notice that! lol
Anyway, i laughed so much at the awesome/awkard bit with the library class playing "if i were a boy"!!what's that about!?
My awkward moment is when someone tells me something that is not really meant to be funny, but i find it funny anyway, and because they don't find it that funny, it makes it even funnier-so im just there laughing/trying not to laugh and they're just staring at me!!! AWKWARD!!! lol

Love the bangs!!!!! My oily bangs remedy:
tea tree oil cleansing pads... wipe your forehead w/ these in the middle of the day and it helps keep your bangs (and face) from getting oily from contact.
