and then I said nothing funny

So I know that when you read this it'll be Monday, but right now it's 11:42 on Sunday night and I'm kinda wiped. AKA my funny bone is pretty much out of commission right now. Forgive the lack of entertainment. This is kind of more like a journal entry ... but shorter... and less detailed. And actually really nothing like a journal entry.
OK. Post commencing ...
This weekend husband and I got to spend a lot of time together. We cuddled a lot, went thrift shopping and made up for lost kisses after the small "discussion" we had during the week. {Yes. We're normal.} On Saturday, I spent an incredibly fun morning doing a shoot with some new friends {and fancy make-up artist. ooh la la. have you guys ever been airbrushed before? it tickles} and came home to husband waiting at the door for me, dressed to the nines, with yet more kisses, a clean house and laundry in the washer. So much better than chocolates in my opinion.
Saturday night, we dressed in our new thrifted goodies {pointless, but fun nonetheless} and got together with some friends for a little Chinese New Year Party. We played a slightly different version of the game Charades and I tell you, I haven't laughed so hard in my life. I had no idea husband was funny. Like legitimately hilarious. I tell ya ... after almost three years, I love that he can still pull out a wild card every now and then and just completely knock my socks off.
Apparently after that, we hadn't had quite enough weekendness, so we went home and drooled over an Iron Chef marathon while we munched on our Cottage Cheese, crackers and a glass of white grape bubbly. Excellent midnight snack friends. But not when you're watching ridiculous food going down on Iron Chef.

i love these wide-legged jeans on you and those earrings just make the whole outfit kinda seem ethereal. like in an angelic way. it's so lovely!

and it's actually kinda comforting knowing that you and your husband have "discussions" too. :)

So true! I feel like Iron Chef gives whatever you're snacking on a complex. After all, how can it measure up to whatever fancy ingredients they're using (which I can't pronounce)?

Sounds as though you had a lovely weekend making up after the discussion! I adore those super awesome earrings.

I need those jeans! So 70s! So fabulous!

greeeat outfit!
i agree with you about the "discussions" They do seem to bring me and my sweetie closer together too. They seem to remove those little wedges between us and bring us closer together. Yay for marriage

Elissa said...

I hear ya on the "discussions."But they're a good thing. The couples with issues are the ones who never argue - they're too afraid to go there, and they keep everything stifled inside. A distance grows because of that.It sounds like you and your husband know how to communicate and have fun with each other, which makes for a great marriage!

Kuddos on today's outfit - wide-leg jeans are hot for spring, and now I have ideas on how to style them!

Could you be any prettier? I think not. :)

"Discussions" are inevitable, but they do remind you of how much you love that person. During my "discussions" with my husband I feel like a little girl trying to break the tension, but all the while to stubborn to be the first to apologize. How silly of me!

Oh and words cannot describe how happy I am that wide leg/ bell bottom jeans are back in style! Seriously so excited!!
