bucket list

Monday, January 3

Boots: Famous Footwear, Leggings: Target, Top: c/o ShopMamie, Sweater: Thrifted, Watch: Gift, Hat: Walmart
Ah yes. Another list to welcome in 2011 ... how completely original. AND late. Ahem, it's the third Syd. I know, I know. But I thought I'd do things slightly different this year. Seeing as how most of last year's new years resolutions completely went to pot, this year I decided to make ... a bucket list. Now everyone slowly rub your mustache and tell me that sounds "intriguing ... very intriguing. Tell us more good sir."
Alrighty. I will. Basically I'm psyching myself out. See, a bucket list sounds way more achievable to me than a new years resolutions list. Why you ask? No idea. But I'm pretty sure I'll want to do stuff on my bucket list, as opposed to feeling like I have a duty towards the stuff on my new years resolutions list.
HA. I'm such a trixter.
Ready?
Bucket List of Awesome Things That I'll Actually Want To Do And Accomplish In 2011.
- Take a real live, {most likely tropical} vacation with husband
- Develop my photography, and increase number of clients. Especially after graduation.
- Oh yes, um. GRADUATE. {Can't wait to check you off, little sucker}
- Make our home more of a haven from the world by:
playing uplifting and soothing music often
finishing at least one book together
    no television during meals
    reading the scriptures together daily
- Have crazy amazing creative Friday night dates. And document all of them.
- Be the outgoing neighbor. Especially when we're the new kids in DC.
- Write down one thing I'm grateful for each day
- Be tourists in our own town. Camping/hiking in Yellowstone this summer and weekend sight seeing once we're in DC.
- Celebrate Valentines Day. For reals this time.
- Become a master thrift store junkie.

Perfect. Now let's get started.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today I am grateful that I don't have to drive all the way home in a car.
Thanks Delta.

Would love to show you around or just grab coffee when you get here :)

I love the idea of a bucket list! It is way more uplifting than resolutions. Who would've thought? I posted a goal packet on howdoesshe.com today. It might be a fun activity for FHE tonight. I know I'm excited to do it!
Also, Thomas and I made a bucket list for things in S.E. Idaho that we want to do before we move. Let me know if you want me to email it to you. It's pretty sweet and almost everything is FREE! ;)

I'm working on a bucket list for my 20's, I felt it was better than either making the same silly resolutions year after year or saying something I wanted to do, only to forget it in a few months. Looking forward to seeing your adventures!

the bucket list idea is genius. i love that you want to document what your grateful for each day. i did a daily thanks of november thing and loved it. there are the usual things that i'm grateful for on a daily basis but when you decide to document it like that you find yourself being thankful for simple things that you wouldn't necessary notice.
