Hi there. I'm at the library today. Studying my little brains out for finals. If you can believe it, it's my first time studying here allllll semester. Weird right? I don't know why I don't come more often.
Oh wait, yes I do.
ONE: I have to wear actual clothes. As opposed to my luxurious Rachel Zoe-esque robe. Which is 100% the lamest rule ever. And
TWO: the flirty chatter and scoping eyes of the "studying" singles make me want to gag.
But don't worry. I'm nice. And I only gag when it's really necessary. Like when Suzie over there laughs at EVE. RY cheesy thing that Mister Oh-So-Smooth comes up with. Gaw, was I really like that once upon a time? I think I'm gonna be picking a different corner in about 5 seconds.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On another note. I'm feeling much better. Thanks to you and all your helpful advice. My uterus is feeling very appreciative right now. It also thinks you're da bomb. Which should be making you all feel very good about yourselves right now.
In fact, by the time last night rolled around, I was feeling so much better that husband stopped waiting on me hand and foot. And we ended up having our usual fight over who was going to be the one to get out of bed and go fill up our bedside water glass. This dilemma, of course, is always logically solved by who happens to be closest to the door. Consequently turning into a race to be the first one balled up in the furthest corner of the bed.
And who do you think wins that one?
HA.

Oh my gosh it is so true about the flirtiness of singles. It always makes me want to say something to make it really awkward for them just because it'd be so funny for me. Haha hilarious. Love the outfit.

This outfit is great!! I love the tucked in button up shirt, and the mixing of patterns with the flats. Super chic!

I love that outfit! It is perfect for studying in the library! Comfy, and put together.

As someone who is currently working in the library, I completely understand what you mean about the "studying singles." I also hole myself up in our Quiet Section, because if anyone makes a noise in here, like 40 pairs of judging eyes come out of the cubicles.
It's scary.

Good luck! :)

After a intense study session, I would always treat myself to a lovely cupcake. Be sure to do the same and enjoy something delicious!!!!!!

Your scarf inventions inspired me the other day when I was staring at my closet blankly, trying to figure out what to wear.

Please check my blog (my new baby):

I mentioned you and The Daybook in my post. (such an inspiration to my outfit.)

How funny that you took photos right there! In all my time at BYU-I I wanted to do a little shoot right there on the 3rd floor..... never happened and I was sort of bummed. Very cute.

That's so cute! A little water glass fight. You are adorable!
I agree about the 'studying singles' [if you can even call them 'studying']. Just so happens I'm single and for some reason it never happens to me so it makes me want to extra gag when I hear the girls falling off their chairs for the dumb guys just there to pick up chicks - no studying.

Love your shoes! Consequently, I have a devious solution to your bedside water retrieving conundrum. I'm not sure it will work, depending on the layout of your bedroom. Announce that you want to rearrange the furniture, you know, just for a change or whatever. Then make sure that however you place the bed, his side is closer to the door. Then, at night, when the argument arises, and he realizes what you have done, just bat your eyes and he will not be able to deny your cleverness, nor will be able to say mad. It might help to look extra cute at that moment.

Ah. The "studying" singles. Very annoying. And also annoying:
-That girl who takes up the table of 4 alllllll to himself.
-That boy who's been sleeping for the past 3 hours.
When. There. Are. No. More. Seats. Left. In. The. Library.

I love the outfit. It's hard to remember but we were single at one time. We looked that goofy, and it's not always fun being there. I can't say I miss it though.

Oh the library, what a wonderful place! I avoid it all semester because of the "studying singles." I should probably study for finals as well but I'll just stay at home in my pajamas because it seems more comfortable!

That's why being disabled is great sometimes, Callum never, ever argues. It's also why he deserves a medal.

I also dislike the library, the whispering in the quiet study area drives me mad, when they loudly talk I wish to kill them all. So I study at home instead.

I don't know if anyone else has said this, but nasty PMS/PMDD cramping/nausea is often caused by a build up of the hormone prostaglandin, which monitors smooth muscle contractions. Too much prostaglandin=too many contractions! Ouch!

If that's what you're up against, Ibupprofen (yep, plain old ibuprofen, just pop a few capsules the minute you start to feel cramps coming on, then one at a time as needed.) works as a prostaglandin blocker. Its cheap, its easy, and it totally changed my life. I used to be sick for DAYS. Now...eh, its a minor inconvenience. Definitely worth a try!

I don't think I could study in a library. I'm too much of a people watcher. I'd get waaaay too distracted! (especially with students making googly eyes at eachother).

Super cute outfit. I wish I had long legs like you do... i'm not sure i'd ever look like that in flats haha.

Last night I holed myself up in a coffee house to study for finals. Instead of wearing slimming jeans, darling plaid, and flats, I wore leggings, long tank top, sweater, and Uggs with my hair in a messy bun. I think studying might be a little more enjoyable if I tried it Sydney style... thanks for being a constant source of inspiration.

Great outfit! I like the mix of the plaid in your shirt with the plaid in your shoes!

I used to LOVE studying at the city library (as opposed to the college library... had the same problems you have with yours)... but the last few times I've gone, people have answered their cell phones and talked loudly for extended amount of time. And these were older people that should know better! Super. Duper. Annoying. Oh my goodness.
