New Years Nails

I seem to be on a bit of a sparkle kick lately. As evidenced by my new found love for sparkly nail polish and that sequined shirt I wore yesterday. Yesterday, to church. *Gasp!*

Is that breaking the rules? Not only wearing sequins in the light of day, but wearing them to church?

Well, guess what.

NO. It's not. I just decided. Because they were black. Conservative Sequins, if you will.

And I only tried to shimmy in them once. Pretty good right? I tried to go in for a second shimmy, but Husband restrained me. He likes to save shimmying for alone time.

So I figure this sparkle kick has got to be the result of one of three things:

1. My New Years Eve birthday coming up {and to think. All these years, you thought those fireworks were for the new year or something} and the fact that I want to feel extra shiny when I turn 22.

{I decided 22 is going to be a significantly more shiny year than 21}

2. I'm a girl. And girls need to sparkle sometimes. So says Girl Law. Look it up.

3. This lady and I needed some serious sparkly nail bonding and chat time. Cause who doesn't bond over nail polish?

Random Side note: As the only two daughters in the family right now, FIL Dave calls us his Babies. When we rode down the water slide together on Friday, he was there at the stairs waiting for us. He said, "Good Job Babies" and helped us out of the pool.
