going out with a bang

Holy Bananas! I'M DONE! { i'm done i'm done i'm done } Raise your hand if you're sick of wearing the same boots basically every single day. Raise your hand if you've been secretly trying on all your other clothes at night, just so you can plan what you'll wear on your first day of freedom. Raise your hand if you plan on wearing three pairs of shoes tomorrow, just because you CAN.
Meeeeeee!! Do you see my hand?! Oh good. Because I cannot wait for my clothing reunion tomorrow. I might just hug and kiss them all. On the mouth.

Congratulations on being done! You did an amazing job putting together so many different outfits. Maybe I will be brave enough to try this challenge one day :) I love all the colors in this outfit.

Congratulations, Sydney! You were one of my favorite remixers to watch, so I can't wait to see what you do with an entire CLOSET.

Congrats for making it through, Sydney! Though it was probably boring for you, it was always fabulous to see how you remixed everything!

You have totally inspired me to be more adventurous with the clothes I've got [I have one shirt that I've tried wearing...one way?! That can't be]. I now have inspiration for making my closet more "wearable".

But if I confined myself to 4 or 5 pairs of shoes for a month, I, too, would be desperate for the impending reunion with the remainder of my shoe collection! Congrats!

Awesome! I loved every outfit! Congratulations, girl!

You did an amazing job. I have been watching with amazing envy and trepidation about trying to use a dress as a top. That's a whole new level of layering for me.

I can say I'm jealous. I saw the first post, and you were right, they were pretty much the same color combo, but you made a different outfit every day! AAH!!! Thats so awesome, you are soo good with fashion. I have to say I love the umbrella outfit. that cardi and the whole outfit is the cutest thing ever! Besides the fact that you are so beautiful.
Go kiss your clothes.. xD

way to go Sydney!! it's been so so fun to see what you come up with each day. you should sleep good tonight know that if nothing else, you've made it just a smidge easier for this girl to get dressed in the morning. xo.

blue eyed girl said...

even though you were tired of it, we all loved it! way to go chicky...now you should design a clothing line where like twice a year you come out with the 30 pieces that will have girls make it through the season. It could be fun and kind of clever...call it the survival kit or something like that, I would totally buy it ;)

brittni said...

All of your outfits were awesome girl! I never felt like you were wearing the same thing. This is one bold outfit but you pulled it off.. I have four more to go. I can't wait to be done!

Rose said...

gorgeous! I've got that self same sweater in blue, and now that I'm reminded of its existence, I think I'll bust it out. I have to say, of all the participants, your outfits have felt the least...remixed, if you know what I mean...Like...if I didn't know you were in the challenge I wouldn't have even noticed how much you repeated stuff. I think because you play around a lot with proportion, and that keeps things fresh.

genevieve, sandbox romance said...

Watch it; the hubby might get jealous of your clothes! Congrats on finally being done! You did wonderfully with your remixing. Everyone seems to have made their last day so colorful! Loving the red barn and the adorable adorable last picture.

Corinna said...

you did so great! love looking through the montage! and now i'm also excited to see the new outfits you've been planning. what i've learned: a belt is important, different colored scarves are important, and- no one will really notice if you cycle your clothes constantly. i mean, really, all your outfits look different! no repeats!

Syd (is it okay that I call you that? I feel like we're friends and I abbreviate all of my friends names. Cool? Great.) - you're ability to style bold colors is second to none. I absolutely love this. And I agree with some of the other commenters that your outfits hardly seem remixed at all. As a fellow remixer - I think that's a biggest feat you can accomplish. Well done.

Hello Sydney. I just found your blog few days ago through Aura's blog and I really like your style. Your blog is so positive and cheerful!

Now I have been browsing randomly your older posts and wanted to comment this 30 for 30 challenge; if I understood correctly you chose 30 pieces of clothing to were for 30 days. For me that's funny because I don't think I even own that many clothes (that can be worn in this season)! I practically have like 5 shirts and 3 pants and two skirts and 3 pairs of shoes (that can be used in this season) that I rotate all the time. (Yes it is boring, but I just can't make myself by more clothes...)

I am from Finland and couple of months back I saw many Finnish bloggers doing a challenge using only 6 pieces for a full month (ok, ok, that excluded shoes, outerwear and of course underwear). Now that would be challenge. :-)

Anyway. I really like your blog. It is very inspiring.

Angela said...

Umm...yup! Totally have been trying on my other, non-30 clothes, at night :) Love your recap! I need to figure out how to make one! :)
