Aww, hang in there, Syd! You look gorgeous in all your pattern-mixing, awesome-accessorizing, pop-of-color, buttoned-up ways. This outfit is so cheery and adorable!

I'm also staring down the barrel of finals and husband D. has a cold -- fingers crossed that all sails as smoothly as possible on all fronts!

You'll do fine in the exam, your husband will be better soon, you should put a tree of your own up to make yourself feel better and I'm not sure if you have worn this outfit before but you look gorgeous in it so don't worry.

Sorry you're having a down day! I get post-holiday crash pretty often too. At least you're looking lovely.
I really love those shoes. Everytime you wear them, I get a leeeeetle bit jealous. Not "think bad thoughts about you" jealous, more like "I can't wait until I can shop again" jealous!!

Leaving the House in THIS?!?!

I love this look from head to toe. There's something about wearing a necklace over a collared shirt that you make it work so well. Definitely going to copy :)

I feel the same way. Somehow the prospect of going back to reality tomorrow is so unappealing.

Your outfit, however, looks super cute. Love the pop of color with the skirt!

Keep these posts coming...you're too funny and your outfits are great!

I love the more masculine plaid collared shirt paired with the feminine pencil skirt. Great contrast!

Hope things start looking up for you soon, lovely. I know they will. :)

Love your look as always! I like how you usually have a bright pop of color! I need to incorporate more color into my life. BTW...I did your bun a few times and while my hair's a lot shorter than yours, it still works! Thanks!!!

and girl, i know what its like to not be home while the fam is putting up the tree. that was the case for me the past 8 years. this year is my first year back - so it was soooo great.

hope the hubby feels better and that you don't get sick!

have a great week. :)

Sydney!! hey! A little bit late, but I hope you already feel better!! Over here the weather is horrible too, I have an examn too and I spend my days with the pyjama on; and yes, my family is far from me; so I understand you. But come on!! You have your beloved husband close too you, and you´ve spent some great days with your sister!! And you, Sydney Poulton, look awesome with that skirt!!

Oh gracious, I'm feeling the same way after the holidays. Papers, projects, exams, a sick husband (and on his birthday no less)... yep, it's all ringing a bell. Maybe a purple skirt would help??
