Boots: Famous Footwear, Pants: F21, Button up: American Eagle, Sweater: American Eagle, Belt: Thrifted
A red handled axe would make the perfect accessory to this ensemble no?

A blip from Husband and I's gmail chat the other day:

Tyson: So did you end up doing some cleaning missy?

18 minutes
4:46 PM Tyson: That would be a no. Well it was another embarrassing day for us.  I had a study group at our house.
4:47 PM me: are you kiddin? crappins. sorry babe. I got a call from a study group so I wasn't able to go home and clean after I dropped you off!
4:48 PM why did you volunteer our house mister crazy?!
4:49 PM Tyson: All other places weren't working out and you said you were coming to clean .... oh well
4:50 PM me: poo

9 minutes
5:00 PM me: well. invite whoever it was over for games sometime. and then they can see that it really is clean a majority of the time. haha

12 minutes
5:12 PM Tyson: Do we have any refills for that smell good thing in the wall?

5 minutes
5:18 PM Tyson: And that would be a no. Why can't people ever see me when I'm being perfect? huh? huh? I ask you.
ALSO the lovely miss Sarah interviewed me as her November Blogger of the Month! How sweet is she? You can go check it out here! No really. Do it :)

ha ha me and matt decided that we will only accept friends who love us for who we are, students that don't have time to clean enough. You and Tyson can now be our friends, congratulations you made the cut.

I live in student accommodation with five other people, the house is rarely tidy, we keep the kitchen and bathrooms to a reasonable level but tidy...no.

Love it! what couple doesn't have that conversation I ask?! On our anniversary in September I posted all the things I had learned about him. It was fun to sit and really think about what marriage has shown me about my hubby, best friend, partner for life!

Hilarious! My house is only clean when people aren't over. The week my house was a disaster four people stopped by. :)

I found your blog via the interview you did with Sarah of Wearing It On My Sleeves and I already love it!

I'm a housewife-to-be (getting married in a little over a month), so it's good to hear that I'm not the only one who hates to cook and doesn't always keep the apartment clean. :P (I can bake cookies and cakes and muffins like nobodies business, but that's about it, haha.)

And I love the outfit, by the way! Looking at your pictures makes me miss having long hair. Especially your adorable bun!

Sydney you crack me up! And your photoshop tips got me started, thanks so much! I love your blog!
Good luck with the new outfit ideas. Even though you don't have a navy cardigan in the mix haha

The fact that our living space is so tiny you couldn't swing a cat in it is not the only reason I don't take outfit posts indoors. :)

It 's like the tree nobody saw falling: It 's immaculately clean as long as you don't look at the mess. ;)

Love your outfit. Such a great combination :) and I love the way you wear your belts (over cardi & the downwards bend)

ha ha at LEAST you meant to do it! more then i could ever say... also, that cardigan looks too comfy. love the coor :)

I found your blog about a week ago someway or another and have to tell you how your blog brings back so many of my own sweet memories from college. My husband and I both just graduated in May after spending the last two years studying, scraping by, and loving every minute of our college life.

I can't tell you how many times my husband brought over a group of people for a project and my house was such a mess! Being a student sometimes gets in the way of being a housewife!

I followed your tutorial this morning on your cute bun when I did my hair. Today, when I was out shopping someone complemented me on my hair. Naturally, I told them to go to my "friends" awesome blog and that you had a tutorial on it. At that point I realized that I had never commented on your blog, and that calling you a friend was a little bit of an exaggeration. So...I love your blog! I follow it regularly so I feel like I know you. This is my first official comment so we can really become friends now. :)

that is the greatest! i should start writing down mine and hubbys text convos... on second thought, sometimes he say stupid dirty things soooooo, maybe not. ;)

its funny cause sometimes i will trick him into thinking the whole house is clean because the living room and kitchen are clean... so he will tell his friends to come on up the stairs to look at something on the computer... yikes... total laundry/shoe avalanch going on up there....not a great idea sugar!

haha! i know exactly what you mean.. except it's always our home teachers. they probably think we're such jerks! every time they come we bolt to the door and corner them on the patio to keep them from seeing inside. haha my husband and i are such (messy) nerds. :)

I love men's descriptions of things.
"Do we have anymore of those smell good things to plug into the wall"
ha ha!
I read a funny in a magazine where a girl's BF asked a sales clerk where the "lady corks" were when he went with her to get tampons. So great.

this outfit is adorable! i love the way you belt things...it's creative and i have to admit to stealing a few of your ideas! i am obsessed with you boots btw, youre doing a great job with the 30 for 30, keep it up!

Colleen said...

I thought a housewife was a wife who doesn't work? You work so you both should be doing it all.
but you did say you would clean so then it is your fault... haha.

my husband never invites anyone over EVER so i don't have to worry about that. Sometimes people are coming over and I warn them I didn't clean up and tel them not to judge me. Then if I clean up a little, it's a pleasant surprise to them even if it is still messy.

I like how you tie your belt this way and you do it another way shown a few days ago or a few days in a row.

Torrie said...

If it makes you feel any better, I've had 13 years of experience and I have NOT got it down yet... and blogging does not help the matter;).
