I had to laugh after I saw my clothes in these pictures. I never realized how apparent it was that I only have about 5 colors in my closet. Self, it's time to branch out a bit yes? Gracious.
So here it is friends. My 30 items for the next 30 days. As weird as this may sound...I actually think it might be {do I dare say it?} kinda easy. I divided up my closet on Wednesday night and since then, getting dressed in the morning with the remainder of my clothes has been kind of a breeze. As if my closet was less intimidating or something. I have no idea, I'm rambling.
Anyhoo. Can't wait to see what all you 30 for 30 lovelies are gonna come up with! Cheers and happy weekending!

Great choices. Maybe having a limited color palette will help with putting the outfits together. Looking forward to seeing what you do!

Hi Sydney! I don't know the blogging rules because I'm JUST getting started, but I linked to your blog on a post about 30 for 30. Hope that's okay! I love your blog! You and Tyson seem so, so sweet together.

I can't wait to see what you're going to do with those 30 ! I should really do that and pick the 80 % of my closet that I barely use, just to give them some love....

I thought it was easy at first but then it was so hard to remember what combination I already wore so I was double checking my computer in the morning to make sure I didn't repeat. That was annoying.

The summary of how I wore it all last time. http://scrapandrun.blogspot.com/2010/09/overall-30-for-30-summary.html

I'm so glad you posted about 30 for 30...I never would have seen it otherwise. I spent a bunch of time in my closet yesterday picking out my items. I had the same thought you did when I saw all my stuff together- "This isn't going to be all that difficult!"

I'm in a color rut too. Oh well, we like what works on us, right?

Abby said...

I'm doing the 30 for 30 too!
I sure hope it end up being easy :)

I went through my closet once and realized that everything i own is either Brown or Grey. i need to branch out. I really need to just go through my closet and get rid of everything i don't or can't wear anymore.

I love this 30 for 30 idea! It's challenging enough to bring out some creativity, which I am in total need of! I'm going to throw all caution to the wind and just do it! This is the perfect time, while you are doing it. You'll be like my style sensei. Plus my hubs is going out of town, so I can mess up our bedroom as I dig through the closet! :)

Here's to the 30 for 30! I can't wait to start remixing on Monday!

Great picks! I really love the tops you picked and I can't wait to see how your remix them. I am excited about the 30 for 30 remix too. I am not so worried about the remixing as I feel like I probably should be, but hey we'll see!

So, I had the same feeling about being less intimidated once I picked out my items....so far, so good. Now let's see if I'm still feeling positive about 30 for 30 in, oh, about 15 days. :) Good LUCK!

Love your items! Every time I see what everyone else has chosen, I start to freak out about my own choices... guess we'll see how it goes! ;)

I was thinking about doing this, but then I hand-washed all my sweeaters for the season, and my wardrobe tripled... So... maybe next month?

Also, I'm really excited to see your mixes. You're so cute and creative with your outfits. And I actually heard when I first graduated from college and started working that if you didn't have unlimited wardrobe funds, you should pick a few colors and stick to those so you can mix and match. So maybe your limited palate will help. :)

Hey Sydney,

At least you have colour in your wardrobe, I have relaised in shifting things around that I have a depressing amount of black. Although that may make it easier on me when I do my delayed 30 for 30.

Yay! I just posted mine too!

I feel the same way... I separated my items out of the closet and now I feel like there are so few decisions to be made! Can't wait to see your outfits!

The pieces are very "you". That's the key for this challenge, pick your favorites so you don't get sick of them! Excited to see what you come up with :)

Oooh, I just now read this and got excited to do the same thing... but what I wear to work every day and the two or three dresses I wear on weekends would probably just barely add up to 15.
I think that needs a blog post anyway.
Maybe tomorrow.
