slightly androgynous

I've had these boyish trousers for, jeeze how long ... 5+ years? Maybe longer. And have just now gotten up the courage to wear them. I'm saying that today, they are in honor of husband's latest success story: an official job offer from a company out in Washington D.C. ... of which he accepted. I guess this means we're gonna be real live grown-ups soon. And have real live money {say what?!}, and maybe a real live grown-up mortgage and stuff. Oh dear.  Now, where did I put those peter-pan pants?
I kid. I kid. We're very excited about the whole thing, but it was weird sitting back while we were eating dinner yesterday, giggling over the fact that in 6 months we're gonna do it. Like really DO IT. Leave all this college stuff behind and go out there and make our mark! Well, he can make the mark. All I really want to do is stay home, prepare fabulous meals and decorate. Ugh. I'm such a fluff ball.
Anyways. That's our news! And all I've done to celebrate is wear these manly pants. LAME. Let the celebratory brainstorming begin ...

Congratulations! You'll love DC. I grew up near there and it's an awesome city.
Those pants are super cute and not too androgynous, especially with the heels.

Congratulations!! YAY!!! I'll be staying tuned to read up on these next few months!

THANK YOU for your sweet words! It was sooo much work, but wowza, I'm very happy with it. I do not kid when I say I've been looking for a beautifully clean, white template for as long as I've been blogging-- like four years--

I love you outfit, ESPECIALLY the shoes! I JUST donated my trouser pants like that to Goodwill, because like you I'd had them for forever but never wore them. I went on a minimalist kick & did an epic closet cleaning. Now I'm wishing I hadn't edited so much out because I want to copy you AGAIN! ;-P

Cute! And congrats! Living in DC is a dream of mine! I would also have to disagree. You didn't just wear manly (fab) pants, you wore Tyson's socks in honor of him.

I have a pair of pants like those and just ironed them so I could wear them soon. They're so comfy and chic. They may be man pants, but there is nothing manly about how you're waring them. Nice job.
