I don't have very much to say today. Other than it was just one of those days that is much better going down with a spoonful of sugar. Which, I did indeed help myself to as soon as I got home. Brown sugar's where it's at.
ALSO, friends. Who wants a tutorial?
Bueller...Bueller...
mmK.
It's just that I've been getting several 'How To' questions lately and so I figured that I'd just throw it out there in case anyone wants to pipe up. Hair? Posing? Photography? How to kiss like a Rockstar? {just kidding. those lessons are only for husband} Let's hear it guys

hmmm, guess you got two new readers today! I just found your blog too. amazing and inspirational, especially since it seems you do so on a budget. well, i would love to read a q&a about everything, but since i'm into photography myself, i just wonder what post processing you use on most the images to make them creamy, dreamy and warm! hows that for a run-on sentence?

I also just stumbled upon your blog and I am loving your hair. How do you do the wavy look? Curling iron? Just wondering...love your blog!

I love that sweater! it looks so comfy, but so cool at the same time!

How to get your hair in that bun thing on the top of your head and get it to stay up would be a nice tutorial for me --- see my hair goes up and once I move a little all the hair comes out and it's just a normal ponytail or worse.

Do you curl your hair in some way -- tutorial on that even though our hair type is different but I'm just a stalker and want to know about everything.

How to do a few quick edits in photoshop?

Basically I want to know all :)

Your posing is something I'd like to know about. I have a whole bunch of stiff shots, and I like how you look so natural. And your smile, are you just good at smiling, or is someone making you laugh... :)

POSING PLEASE! i am queen of awkward when it comes to posing.

p.s. lovely to sit with you in class today. if possible, you are even cuter in person.

Hair tutorial please! How do you get the topknot to actually stay on the top of your head?

daring2bdifferent said...

Hmm, well all of the above subjects would be lovely to have tutorials on, :) but if I just had to pick one topic, I'd have to say posing. *sigh* God ever-so-lovingly endowed me with a classic "pear" shape, and I can't find the pose(s) for photographs that don't make my bottom half (which, fyi, is mostly muscle in a desperate attempt to shift the shape) larger than I'd like! :P Any helpful tips would be *much* appreciated!

How you edit your photos most definitely! As someone said earlier, they look so sunshiney, dreamy and warm!

Have a wonderful day Sydney! :)

Girl, you can rock the skinnies like no other.

ooh lets see.. HAIR! How do you get yours to curl that way, product? curling iron? or do you just wake up that way ;)

are you dropping any actions on your photos or do you just get GREAT lighting and sun flairs on your own.

How to shop on a budget! Do you keep an eye out for sales? Do you envision the whole ensemble as you buy things? Do you shop for classic pieces or more for original things? Do you shop online or in the store? That sort of thing...

Johanna said...

so you just look gorgeous every day then? I love the pictures of you and hubby...I think you both did very well with each other because lets be real here....it would have been a bit of a waste if one of you had been a little average looking...lucky this didnt happen in your case and you are glossy mag cover worthy (wipes brow in relief)

I like to think that this means I can expect rugged good looks in my future...yusssssssss

I LOVE that outfit. Do you EVER wear a not-cute outfit? I would love a tutorial about posing. Your poses are always so fun and cute. I'm not that confident in front of the camera... actually I usually feel like an idiot, but I've been trying to remember your advice about just moving around and having fun. I read on your photography blog that you don't like JC Penney poses and I felt kind of guilty cuz I'm pretty sure all my poses are JC Penney...lol. Anyway, as always I love your blog.

Hey

I'd love some hair tutorials!!For example the one style you are wearing with husband at the photo shoot that you just posted over the weekend. Would be nice to see. Also photography tricks would be great. Your pictures always have such a soft tone to them. How do you do that?

How could i ask for just one tutorial when i have so many questions about your amazing style? Like how do you ever put such adorable outfits togeather! {what do you look at/for when you are deciding what to wear?} Also, how do you get your hair to look so beautimus all the time? It's so not fair! And while we're at it, i would love to know your whole photography lighting thing! Oh, and poses would be cool too! So i guess i just want to know...umm...everything!

Just stumbled across your blog today too! Love it and I'm planning to buy those awesome boots from famous footwear. They're unreal cute! I'm a fairly new mommy and I've been despising my hair recently, so I'd love a post on how you do your hair because it's gorgeous! And I love how much you love your hubs! They're the BEST!! :)

I would love a tutorial on how you style your hair when you wear it down. I have wavy hair, and struggle with how to manage it. Would love to hear what you do with your hair, down to all the details (ie do you brush it in the shower but not out of the shower? Which I have heard is a good tip. Do you sleep on it wet or dry? Etc! :-)

Love your style!!!

Loving the blog! You are too cute. I think some how-tos would be great. I'm thinking mainly hair. Thanks! Keep up the good work!

While a photography and posing tutorial would be nice... my favorite thing on your blog are the outfits you are posing in! I would love a peek into your closet, a tutorial of your shopping process, what you consider basics/foundation pieces and how you build upon that. And lastly, I would love to be shown how to piece great outfits together and them look HOT! I am challenged in this area. My outifts can be so boring. I have fun funky hair, and have a personality to match, now I want my clothes to have my personality in them as well. Help! Pretty please?

Adelyn said...

I so second what Rochelle Barlow said! That would be amazing! {please?!? with a cherry on top!}

Yet another outfit I fully intend on copying. I have a button-up JUST like that. Rolled up skinnies...check. Tennies...yep. Chunky, red cardigan...hmmm...I'm sure I can find something similar.

How do you do it? Take stuff from my closet and make it look...awesome. You = my wardrobe hero(ine).
