OK, so I'm gonna drop something that may or may not be a little TMI for just a second. Ready?
Sometimes I get sick in the middle of the night for no good reason at all.
"Sometimes" meaning about every 10 months or so. Nothing too disturbing. But often enough to be quite annoying. And super weird. Last night was one of those nights. I woke up, sat straight up in bed and said, "TYS! I'm gonna..." then stumbled to the bathroom in the dark, over large books and yesterday's clothes on the floor. {bad habit. I know} And just like that, he was there. With the lights on, running {literally running} in after me, holding my hair, rubbing my back and saying totally coherent {guy's a pro} and really nice things to me, even though I just know that's gotta be the worst job ever. Actually, I wouldn't know. Husband never gets sick.
Moral of the story: My hubs is gonna be stellar someday when our future {currently non-existent} little muffin decides to come at some crazy midnight hour. Obviously, he was made for that kinda stuff.
Oh ... that, and I love him like crazy.

I'm gonna go light some candles and take a bath now.

michael WILL be the husband who passes out in the delivery room. you should see how fast he bolts from the bathroom when i rush in with my morning sickness. i frankly never new he could move so quickly in the morning.
but i still love him. he's good at other things... like making pb&j... and stuff ;)

It's funny - I get randomly sick in the night like that too sometimes (it's what happened last week when I had to make banana bread after seeing it on The Daybook!)

Tys sounds wonderful :) I'm going to make my boyfriend read this, bahah!!

Amazing, what a keeper.

One of my favourite memories of when my hubs and I started dating involved me getting sick and him magically appearing in the bathroom with a cold cloth on the back of my neck and rubbing my back (we'd been dating like, 2 months, I was mortified but soooooo thankful and amazed).

Hope you're feeling better now :(

This is ridiculously sweet. What a keeper, Syd.

A similar situation happened in my case that prompted the husband to eventually propose to me. After taking care of sick, upchucking me all one night, he later told me that he always wanted to be the one to take care of me.

Ha I think its funny how you are so careful to avoid any rumors of pregnancy "...future {currently non-existent} little muffin..."

What a cutie though, my hub has yet to see me throw up (goin on a year and a half and I haven't gotten the stomach flu) but I would like to think that when it does happen, my hub will do the same.

Aww, that's so sweet of him. Hubs are the best.
Nothing like a nice bath to make it all better :)

That's horrible, Sydney- getting sick that often for no reason. :(. Your husband is so sweet and he will make a great daddy! Especially when your future children come running into your bedroom in the middle of the night saying, "Daddy, I feel like I'm gonna....". You know the rest. The love between you two is contagious!

TYS! You make us all look bad. In my defense I try to do stuff like that for my wife but she doesn't like to be touched at all when she is sick. Any other ideas to make her feel better and stay in competition for Husband of the year with TYS?

Aw, what a kind husband. There's nothing worse than getting sick. And there's nothing better than taking a bath while candles are burning. Well, maybe a husband whose willing to take care of you when things aren't looking so hot is actually the best, but baths are pretty high up there.

That's so funny that you call your sicknesses weird...I am the same way, all of a sudden out of nowhere, in the middle of the night something will hit me! Although, sometimes I faint when it all happens....even weirder, I know! I think I scared my husband to death the first time it happened! Feel better!

That happened to me for a couple of years -- I'd get sick for absolutely no reason (I thought maybe it had to do with eating oatmeal, but that was wrong...) and roll around groaning for about thirty minutes before hurling. Ugh, gross. You're lucky to have such a sweet man. He sounds like a keeper. :)

What a catch! :)

And I'm sure he'll be great when the baby decides that 3am sounds like an awesome to join you- because they always seem to do that.

he def sounds like a keeper! Hope you're feeling better
