banana bread boosts your self-confidence

Today I am a rockstar housewife; which I am hardly ever. See, I like to keep Husband's expectations low. That way, when I do something like bake banana bread completely out of the blue , he get's excited to the point of giving me completely unconscious leg massages and spouting things like "woah babe. woah. you're a stellar chef tonight." Which doesn't happen very often either.
I'm not sure where the whole banana bread thing came from today. Maybe it was our 7 overly ripe bananas sitting on the counter. {I guess we don't eat those at our house} or maybe it was the fact that our house smelled like lysol and windex and desperately needed some cinnamon smellage pronto. Either way, it happened. I thoroughly enjoyed it. And it tasted so good, I can't even stand myself right now. BAM.

Look delicious. I randomly made banana bread about a week ago. I think it's a fall thing. But I'm like you husbands expectations are low. I was queen of the world till the loaf was finished. Now he just keeps asking me to make more. Riiiiight.

this is exactly how cooking becomes addicting and (how accidentally husband's expectations will suddenly become high. hey-that's what happened here anyway. =) for me, there is something utterly fulfilling about taking 5 (or 15) random ingredients, mixing 'em up, and coming out with something entirely differently and deliciously edible.

your bread looks amazing btw. yummy.

That's so funny..."stellar chef". It's true, you can shine in the kitchen when you want to. I remember the best cake you made with your Easy Bake Oven...once. I think it took you 8 years to get over your amazing culinary feat before attempting another recipe, this time in the big-girl oven.

Actually I'm surprised you ALLOWED bananas in the house and that you thought BANANA bread would make it smell better.
P.S. Folks: She's not a fan of bananas...gag reflex...not pretty...not even for her. :/ XOXOXO
