reasons why it's time for summer to be over {because I'm ready for fall}

Saturday, August 14

#1. My most recent roll-out-of-bed-and-go good hair days have been wasted on sweat-fest trips to the pool and gym, rather than something useful such as: another 10 minutes in bed before my morning classes because I don't have to do my hair. A lame point yes, but totally valid nonetheless.

#2. These comfy babies have been what I've lived in for the past week. Unsanitary? Maybe. Impractical, considering the 90 degree weather? Most definitely. So, so, so warm and cuddly and perfect for curling up with a hot cup of tea and good book, praying for fall weather to get here? Yes.

#3. That bedspread. Or rather just the general lack of our own things that we've had with us this summer. Oh stuff, only two more weeks before our reunion.

Also on that bedspread ... check out husband there given me a little pedi-action. So sweet right? That look of concentration on his face ... oh I could die. I just had to take a picture. Tyson's dad came into DC last week on business, so we were able to meet him downtown for dinner and a little touring of the local 4-story mall. {Yea, you read that right. It's okay, I had trouble breathing too.} While we were there, this cute little Israeli girl at one of those sales stands made eye contact with me, {never make eye contact people} and we got reeled in to her little booth. With her talent and charm, because she did have LOTS of both, she sold poor Dave lots and lots of wonderful Dead Sea Beauty Products for three of the ladies in his life. Jade, Me and Kamie {Kamie of course, got the sweetest stuff}, but I walked away with the best little mani-pedi set on the planet. That little scrubbie thing you see there? Makes your nails shine like glass. Literally. It makes your nails looks like you've got a clear coat of super high gloss nail polish on ... with nothing on your fingers but your own natural oils! You totally want one now right? Sleepover!!!!
Even husband got into it and shined his fingers up this last week. And even though I kept calling him a sparkle queen, nothin' was keeping his spirit fingers from dancing once he was all shined up. It's just that good.

I <3 those dead sea salt products! I got suckered into it at Costco once...I loved it, but I just didn't have the $100 for the face products. She tested a patch on my hand and it glistened and glowed and had zero redness on it for like 8 hours in this one little patch... Sigh. Congrats on your pedicure products AND a husband that will give you pedicures!
