some like it stale

All right, all right- all you in the closet stale-peep lovers. Time to speak up!
I've been gettin some serious flack from lover-boy over here for the age-old tradition {at least for moi}
of peep stale-ifying. Don't know what that is, you say?
Well. Let me enlighten you:

Step #1. Receive peeps for Easter

Step #2. Jump for joy and kiss your darling husband on the cheek for remembering your favorite treat

Step #3. Unwrap peeps and let them sit in open air on the counter

Step #4. Test Peep squishiness {this is a word} after one day of air exposure

Step #5 if still squishy, tell Peeps to hurry up already cause you're getting hungry {this usually speeds up the process significantly}

Step #6 After two days in open air, peeps should be sufficiently stale with the ideal level of squish

Step #7 Insert peep in mouth and enjoy your NEW favorite treat

And that's how it's done peeps!
{ok that was dumb}

You know..I've never really enjoyed peeps. But now that I've read your post about them, perhaps I'll have to try something new this Easter. Thanks for introducing something to make my life sweeter (yes, pun intended), Sydney! I'll take note of it...
